It's time for the annual Wasatch County Jr Turkey Sale

November 20th is the day you can buy a home grown, Wasatch County turkey from a 4H or FFA youth. The auction begins at 7:00 pm at the Wasatch County Event Center.

Hundreds of youth all over the Heber Valley have been caring for turkeys since the first part of August to get them ready for you for your Thanksgiving dinner.

The FFA and 4H youth have learned life-long valuable lessons as they have raised their turkeys that will be available for sale on Tuesday, November 20th. Bring your wallet and come get a fresh turkey just in time for Thanksgiving.

Last week the FFA and 4H youth in the valley had the opportunity to sell their turkeys in the Wasatch County Jr Livestock Turkey Show. There were almost 100 tom turkeys sold and they averaged around $350 each. The buyers from the community were incredible. The 29 1/2 pound Grand Champion Tom was raised and sold by Kelsey Crane and purchased by T&G Finish for $620. Thank you T&G Finish as well as all the other buyers for a great event.

Most of the turkey buyers are local businesses that show their support to the youth by purchasing a locally raised turkey. T&G Finish is a Heber Valley based business owned by Nathan Treu and Josh Goode. They specialize in finish carpentry, rock, tile, and remodeling.  Take a look at some of their work by searching for them on Pinterest or visiting their website by clicking here. Here's a sneak peek.

If you are in need of any finish work or are considering a remodel, give these fine fellas a call.
