Local avalanche safety class

Do your friends and family love playing in the snow during the winter?
This class could save a life.

Wasatch Mountain State Park is offering a FREE Avalanche Awareness Class on Thursday, December 13th from 6 to 8 pm in the Visitor's Center at 1281 Warm Springs Road in Midway.
White Pine Touring will be sharing the do's and don'ts of playing in the snow so you can avoid the dangers of avalanches. This is a great refresher for those already traveling in avalanche terrain, and a solid foundation for beginners to build upon.
The lecture will present attendees with an opportunity to explore what it means to travel in backcountry/avalanche terrain, the hazards, and why it can be so much fun. You'll also learn about gear, terrain, snowpack, and more.

Check out the other great winter activities sponsored by Wasatch Mountain State Park.
