It's not too late to plant veggies this year.

Don't think that just because it's not springtime anymore that you've missed out on a vegetable gardening experience.  So maybe you didn't have a gardening spot ready in May to bury a few seeds in the soil.  It's okay.  It's not too late.  You can still plant quite a few vegetable varieties that thrive and prefer growing now.

Beets, broccoli, carrots, kale, lettuces, and spinach can still be planted from seed and you'll still get a harvest this year.  There is nothing like that home grown vegetable taste.  Plus your kids will think its great to participate in the gardening scene.
